Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about selling your car with CashForCars.NOW.

The Basics

It's three steps. Tell us your vehicle's year, make, model, and condition. You'll get an instant cash offer. Accept it, and we dispatch a buyer to your location — in some areas, as fast as 30 minutes. The buyer pays you cash on the spot and tows the vehicle for free. The entire process happens through our platform with push notifications and live tracking. No phone calls needed.
We buy cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans in any condition — running or not. Wrecked, flooded, high mileage, missing parts, failed inspection — it doesn't matter. If it has a title, we'll make an offer. Any year, any make, any model.
In select locations with active buyers, pickup can happen in as little as 30 minutes. In most areas, same-day pickup is typical. You'll see real-time tracking once a buyer is dispatched so you know exactly when they'll arrive — no more "sometime between 12 and 5."
Your offer is valid for 24 hours. Scrap metal prices and buyer demand fluctuate daily, so offers are time-sensitive. If you need more time, just submit again and you'll get an updated offer reflecting current market conditions.

Privacy & Communication

We simply don't need it. You'll be able to communicate with the buyer and tow truck driver directly via our platform, so you never have to reveal sensitive personal information. Push notifications keep you updated in real time — offer status, dispatch alerts, live tracking, payment confirmation — all without a single phone call or text. Your number stays yours.
No. Never. Your information is used exclusively to facilitate your vehicle sale. We don't sell leads to data brokers, we don't share your email with marketing companies, and we don't pass your details to competing services. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
Everything goes through our platform. Once a buyer is matched and dispatched, you can message them directly within the app. You'll also receive push notifications with ETA updates and can watch their truck on a live map. Neither party needs to share personal contact information.

Title & Ownership

Yes. A valid title in your name is required to legally sell your vehicle. This protects both you and the buyer. If you've lost your title, most states allow you to apply for a duplicate through the DMV — it usually takes a few days.
All owners listed on the title must sign it before the sale can be completed. If a co-owner is unavailable, you may need a Power of Attorney or, if the co-owner is deceased, the appropriate legal documentation. Check with your local DMV for specific requirements in your state.
We cannot purchase vehicles with unsatisfied liens. You'll need to obtain a lien release from your financial institution first. Once the lien is satisfied and the title is clear, you're good to go. Contact your lender to find out what's required.

Payment & Pickup

Cash, on the spot. When the buyer arrives and verifies your vehicle, they pay you immediately. No checks to wait on, no bank transfers to clear. Hand over the keys and title, take the cash, and you're done.
Yes. Towing is always free. The buyer handles all pickup logistics and costs. Your offer amount is what you receive — no deductions, no hidden fees, no "towing charges" subtracted on arrival.
Only if the vehicle's condition is materially different from what you described. If you said it runs and it doesn't, or there's significant damage you didn't disclose, the buyer may propose an adjusted offer. You're always free to decline — and we want to know if it happens. Every pickup is followed by a seller survey. Buyers who consistently lowball or try bait-and-switch tactics get deprioritized or permanently removed from our network. We'd rather lose a transaction than send you a predatory buyer. Be accurate upfront and the price won't change.
Someone needs to be present to hand over the signed title and receive payment. It doesn't have to be you — an authorized representative works. Just make sure the title is properly signed, personal belongings are removed, and the license plate is taken off beforehand.
